Some say love is a battlefield, but where Superman and Wonder Woman are concerned, it spells Doomsday!
Superman/Wonder Woman 2013 #1 Superman/Wonder Woman eBook Charles Soule S Daniel Tony
You can tell that a lot of planning went into this series, particularly this first issue. You've got a romantic relationship to deal with between two characters who, while sharing similar abilities, have completely different backgrounds and personalities. Without favoring one character over another, they show tension and conflict between Clark and Diana. She's not some weak personality who's going to keep her thoughts quiet, but Clark is used to having his way as well. It definitely makes for an interesting dynamic. If you're thinking that this might be too sappy for your tastes (as I did before reading it), then you're in for a surprise. The appearance of Doomsday in this first issue is a clear indicator that this series will be treated as seriously as any other. It also shows that they will be providing antagonists who can actually face Superman and Wonder Woman physically - which is a big deal considering they're such major powerhouses.
What I also like is that this series includes brief mentions or appearances of other mainstream characters: Steve Trevor, Martian Manhunter, Justice League (through communications), etc. They don't play a main role (thank goodness), but they're acknowledged enough to make this series feel like it's really a part of the main DC-verse which I appreciate.
I first began this series because after catching up to the latest Wonder Woman issue by Brian Azzarello, I just wanted to read more WW. Unlike Superman and Batman, there just aren't enough comics with her. She's not written very well in the Justice League comic and is part of a large team so the focus isn't on her. So I started reading this issue and was very glad that her character was treated seriously and that she gets to do plenty of butt-kicking. If you're a fan of WW or SM, I definitely recommend this series.

Superman/Wonder Woman 2013 #1 Superman/Wonder Woman eBook Charles Soule S Daniel Tony Reviews
I like the artwork. It also answers my what if Superman and Wonder Woman dated question. It is a fairly new series, so it is not too late to try it out.
My favorite DC Characters... for the #1 not bad . It was good, can't wait for the next one to come out in Nov =)
i was so excited to see a super man and wonder woman team up so fare so good cant wait to see what happens next
This one is for all Superman and wonder woman's fans anyone who ever thought of seeing this couple together since the very beginning and looking forward to this series.
I love the artwork and the story looks to be good
I love the art work and the story. I can't wait for the next issue Unchained Doomsday! GREAT NEW SERIES!
Great intro to an exciting series. DC wins big with this iconic team up - both to kick the shot out of the villains and to romance each other.
I didn't know that this was going to be as good as it was. I always hoped that Superman and Wonder Woman would hook up and here they are together. I have nothing against Lois Lane, but if Superman/Clark Kent were to have a child then he be better off with Wonder Woman, cause I'm sure she would he able to bare him a child.
But over all this was a very good first issue and I am looking forward to issue #2.
